26/11/08: Billionaire Gautam Adani was with Dubai Port CEO Mohammad Sharaf when terrorists entered Taj hotel. Adani claimed to have "escaped with his life" (1), but if you ask "who gained"?, it would seem that he was ALLIED to the terrorists and "screwed" Sharaf! For soon after, he laid claim to ports from Vizhinyam, Kerala to "Adani port Australia"...

The takeover - Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited is India's largest private multi-port operator. The company which was earlier known as Mundra Port and Special Economic Zone Limited, changed name to its present name on 6 January 2012.

His $13 billion (revenue) Adani Group's interests include real estate and defence.

A committee headed by Sunita Narain of Centre for Science and Environment was set up by the Union Ministry of Environment and Forests to inspect ship-breaking facility of M/s Adani Port and SEZ Limited near Mundra West Port in Gujarat's Kutch district. The committee which submitted its report on 18 April 2013, found incontrovertible evidence of destruction of mangroves, blocking of creeks, and non-compliance of other clearance conditions. Subsequently, on 29 July 2013, a public hearing for the project was held where people from four project-affected villages and nearby locations attended the public hearing at Tunda village in Mundra taluka and posed questions about the project and its impact on the environment. The public hearing was successfully completed with answering of each question asked from villagers.

EU:

Austria is dominated by a certain "Austrian school of social economics" (different from the austrian school of economics) headquartered in, believe it or not, Pakistan. They have a group on FB, I was invited but i just left it because the admin seemed to be a radical conservative who liked slavery. If such characters somehow were to dominate EU politics (overruling the few good guys like Mike Ignatieff the rector of European university*)... it can threaten the little bit of extra-political (or para/neo-political) dynamics/objectivity that to some extent characterize some of these platforms like google and lately even FB. Big tech is not totally free of tyranny, to be sure, but it sure tries. Zuckerberg for example can't do much but acquiesce to politician terrorists when cornered by the murderous ambani, for example**.

This conservative school's influence in Austria can be gauged: From that FB group's admin I quote: "Know that the consumerism is mere diversion and play, glamour and mutual vainglory among you and rivalry for wealth and children. So when you see such stuff... As long as these things are taken into consideration it should be okay, but if not, such "correction" can do far more harm than good.
Therefore, it's a double edged sword.
