I am also not a ‘bhakt'. Even I never refrain from criticizing what is wrong. But here the problem is different. What I see is manipulation of present laws as regards farm produce.

Firstly, its the 'aadhitya', almost all of whom have political backing, who is the winner in the present system. All farmers have to sell through these middlemen at the rate they decide, paying commission to them AND tax to the state. No wonder that it's Punjab who has maximum problems with these bills.

Secondly, because of MSP, the farmer tends to produce inferior quality of produce as he is sure that through existing channels he will not be at a loss even after paying to middlemen and government officials. This inferior quality of produce is literally of no use and just rots in the silos. Exporting such produce is just unthinkable. And ultimately it is the taxpayers money that gets misused.

With introduction of this bill, at least the farmer would be compelled to produce better quality products to earn better profits. He will also be at a liberty to sell it at a price he deems fit for his efforts. Though the government has said that msp would continue, I am totally against it.

Of course, the price of better products would increase slightly, as per market conditions, but it would benefit the farmer directly and the consumer whose want for quality products would get fulfilled. Also, it might possible to export bringing in valuable foreign exchange."

This is an absurd unresearched Modi-style SHALLOW argument.
How can the farmer determine quality? The farmer just harvests, it is the earth which produces crop and determines quality. If quality of produce tends to be bad, it's because of poor farming ideology (extensive farming, not intensive farming*), poor soil quality and poor strain history for oranges and apples etc. due to historic sanghi oppression. Corporations’ GMOs are not the answer. Neither are their pesticides and chemical fertilizers that are aimed at short term profits with long term further destruction of the land.

Your lazy farmer theory is just wrong. They actually make the best produce and if you didn’t notice M in MSP stands for minimum, if they make better, they get better prices. I always notice that sweeter grapes cost more. At least in South India that’s the case, if not in the north hah. You actually feel farmers have no incentive to produce the best crop? Due to MSP regime? It’s the most ignorant thing to say ! Minimum is a kind of security blanket that’s all (without which the farmers will die off due to climate change).

He is already at liberty to sell, in South India at least, at the price he deems fit for his efforts. The north is a mess due to bhakt and sanghi policies for long.

You are ignorant in wanting to surrender farmers to the corporations, I agree reform is necessary but this is not reform, it is just organized push of big capital.

Market already exists. At least in South India. Here a kg of grapes can cost from Rs 60 to Rs 150 - 200 depending on quality. And the best are exported for valuable foreign exchange. So all your arguments are just wool over your own eyes. ..

The bhakts are blaming Covid19 for low GDP, turning a blind eye to the twin evils of demonetisation and cruel GST regime and many other stupid policies that caused sharp drop in industrial output. Edit - just a few days afterwards, Modi's pretty sick-looking labor minister Mr. Gangwar introduced new labor laws to benefit big capital at the expense of labor!
