Facebook Messenger was forced to be so offensively conservative apparently because of the orcish threat (adani "green energy") from WhatsApp (also owned by Facebook). Thus after public discussions of the problems with messenger -- on January 7th, 2021, WhatsApp, the messaging platform owned by Facebook, updated its Privacy Policy. All users received a notice, saying that the service will now be sharing user data with other Facebook companies. Usual Counter terrorist surveillance would take place to make the world safer.
Immediately, Elon musk and snowden recommended the messaging app Signal as an alternative to WhatsApp.
Signal? It tries to circumvent signals intelligence.
As quartz reports: "Ever since encryption seeped out of spy agencies and into the commercial world, government watchdogs have been trying to contain its spread. One of the latest battles is in Australia, where politicians are cracking down on technology firms and requiring them to allow “back door” access to encrypted messaging. Signal, a messaging app with end-to-end encryption, indicated that it’s unable to—and won’t—comply with the requirements. The app service said in a blog post that it doesn’t keep a record of contacts, locations, group memberships, and other data, and the contents of messages and calls are protected by encryption keys it can’t access. “We remain committed to fighting mass surveillance worldwide,” Signal said."
It's safe haven for terrorists.
On December 28, 2014, Der Spiegel published slides from an internal NSA presentation dating to June 2012 in which the NSA deemed Signal's encrypted voice calling component (RedPhone) on its own as a "major threat" to its mission, and when used in conjunction with other privacy tools such as Cspace, Tor, Tails, and TrueCrypt was ranked as "catastrophic", leading to a "near-total loss/lack of insight to target communications, presence..."
This can seriously affect counter terrorism, a key aspect of the steampunk defence of civilization.
Today fascist governments are mostly the exception. Who so desperately needs privacy from counter-terrorist intelligence except the terrorists? (But also note many of the more fascist politicians use signal.)
After musk's advice, Signal saw 2,200 installs on India's app stores on Wednesday up 38% from 1,600 installs in the week ended Dec. 30, according to mobile intelligence firm Sensor Tower. The next of hybris!
Snowden, too, advises ambitious cheaters to use signal.
On June 14, 2013, United States federal prosecutors filed a criminal complaint against Snowden, charging him with three felonies: theft of government property and two counts of violating the Espionage Act of 1917 (18 U. S. C. Sect. 792 et. seq.; Publ. L. 65-24) through unauthorized communication of national defense information and willful communication of classified communications intelligence information to an unauthorized person.
Specifically, the charges filed in the Criminal Complaint were:
18 U.S.C. 641 Theft of Government Property
18 U.S.C. 793(d) Unauthorized Communication of National Defense Information
18 U.S.C. 798(a)(3) Willful Communication of Classified Intelligence Information to an Unauthorized Person
Each of the three charges carries a maximum possible prison term of ten years. The criminal complaint was initially secret, but was unsealed a week later.

So my initial suspicions may prove correct... I took away my like from the Elon musk daily page post showing "emperor musk", which leaves it with 4 likes (the next kairos faction maybe, on earth, after the first).
I only agree with Elon Musk on one known thing, forced vaccinations on earth are too dangerous to be allowed and lockdowns are crazy overgovernance, but I don't agree with him if he tries to challenge the steampunk judgment regarding cryptocurrency and the cheater / hacker threat... too risky to civilization's counter-terrorist efforts. We ought to be freed of any such politician terrorist pressure, allowed to concentrate on political reform on earth...
